Doctor visit went okay - that particular exam is always horrendous for me.

But if surgeon agrees, after next year, I can just go back to having my local doctor do the yearly and stop going off to see them! Woo!

At work now. Yesterday I was in Durham for a visit with my
oncologist. My cancer surgery was about a year and a half ago.
This was a check-up. He was very happy with everything and wished me a medical-free year. I don't have to see him again until next October - I'll see my radiation oncologist in March. So two visits a year, instead of 4. Woo!

Mom and I went up on Sunday and had a nice time. She likes to go with me, so I don't have to go alone (and she gets away from Dad :)).

It's strange - but you always hear people talking about how bad their experiences were when they had cancer - mine wasn't.
It was scary, yeah - but everything was done so quickly that it almost didn't seem real. Found out in March, surgery in April, recovery in May, back to work in June. Radiation was a bit tougher because it lasted longer, but was more of a pain because of all the driving I had to do, rather than anything associated with the treatment itself.

Apparently I'm a good healer :)
