or DLP (digital projection)?

I'm not sure I've ever seen anything in IMAX - unless it was that surround-sound thing they used to have at Six Flags Over Georgia called the Chevy Show - where, basically, you watched some car being put through it's paces, but the huge - HUGE - screen and the surround sound made you feel like you were there - you hugged the curves, swaying with everyone else in the audience - and stopping was a total letdown. This was when I was a kid too - maybe it was a precursor?

I'd have to drive to Charlotte (70 min) to get to an IMAX - or maybe Columbia (90 min). Is it worth it? Do I have to wear those 3-D type of glasses (yes, I am an unknowing idiot and too lazy to google it.)?

DLP - we have here - is it worth paying the extra few dollars for a night movie? Or should I take a drive to Charlotte?

Man, it was cool seeing something on the big screen again. I don't think I've been in over a year - and I used to go constantly.
